Newsletter 01/2022
Dear friends of the SENSING research group,
to coincide with the start of our final year of funding, we present you with a new issue of our SENSING newsletter. After a longer intermission we will look back on the past year as well as announce some of the research group’s upcoming activities and output in 2022.
One of the highlights of 2021 for us was our conference Other(ing) Sensing. Practices, Politics and Ethics of Sensitive Media, which took place online on June 17th and 18th, and to which we invited international guests to discuss sensing’s relation to questions of alterity with us. We are grateful to Irina Raskin, who kindly wrote a comprehensive conference report, which reviews all the talks, discussions, listening sessions and panels that took place. You will find it published (in English) here, on the blog of the Zeitschrift für Medienwissenschaft.
Furthermore, we are happy to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website which offers information concerning our research group, it’s participants, activities, and output.
Would you like to share some news with our research group, our practice partners and the group’s associates and friends in the future? If so, we invite you to enrich our newsletter with relevant topics, dates and information. For contributions, feedback or questions, please contact us via info@sensing-media.de.
Warm wishes from the current editorial team,
Daniel Stoecker and Nicole Schimkus
