Activities
The research group SENSING: On the Knowledge of Sensitive Media is characterized by intensive internal collaboration and lively scholarly exchange. On a weekly basis, the ZeM hosts a »jour fixe« in various configurations, which focuses on the concentrated discussion of selected topics and aspects. Regular internal colloquia also serve to accompany the respective dissertation projects of the individual fellows through joint discussion of individual text excerpts and theses. Together with associates and external researchers, the research group also organizes internal and public workshops on relevant research and practices. Out of the joint research activity, the research group has developed, planned and hosted symposium in 2019 and an international conference on the topic of » Other(ing) Sensing« in June 2021. In addition, members of the research group regularly participate in academic conferences, workshops, artistic and practical projects, and public discussion formats.
